The Chainlink

My bottom bracket gave out on my fixed gear the other day. I took into a bike shop to get it replaced because i don't have the tools to do it myself, and they had it back to me in about 30 minutes.

It seems that my bike is now a little more sluggish. Not drastically, maybe 10-20%. But it doesn't seem to "coast" as well and moving takes a little more effort.

Any thoughts on why this might be?

It's a steel frame 2007 track bike.

Chain might be over tightened.
Too tight chain?  Was the new unit a cartridge BB or a cup-n-balls type?  Could be it is over-tightened too if it is the latter.

Cup and balls type.

I did check the chain and it seemed a little tight, but I haven't messed with it at all. I'll check and see if that helps.
