Mungo is an authentic Humboldt Park Alleycat(TM) which means that he is tough as nails, yet receptive to kindness. When he first appeared in our garden three years ago, it was winter and he held his left paw up in a sad limp. He was scabby and crabby and wasnʼt used to all the nurse-like attention I paid him, but he suffered through his rehabilitation and is a healthy little indoor-outdoor cat now. He is a 10-pound silver-grey kitty, perhaps 5 years old, with the most beautiful green eyes and white streaks on his chest, his big paws and on his brow. He is calm dog-friendly and is full of energy, though is content to be left alone. He absolutely adores catnip. Prince Mungo loves to drink from the tub faucet and will lead to you to the bathroom to serve him fresh running water. He is FIV-positive, which has never been a problem, he is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on his shots and is surprisingly good at the vet.
This broke my heart.
I can't take him (I have two old-lady cats who couldn't handle a newcomer at all), but I wish you luck. He looks like a very sweet boy.
He looks like quite the character! I'm sure such a handsome boy will be able to find a great home. Wish my home could accommodate him, but my two fur monsters wouldn't be very gracious hosts. :)
I work at a vet (Family Pet in lincoln park), so I can put up this info if it'll help. Is he missing part of his ear? ...what a bad-ass.
