I think you misunderstood my motives. I wasn't intending to relegate all cyclists' fatalities to a small, invisible corner of the world. I wanted there to be one place to look for initial announcements, with the intent that it would be easier to learn about new crashes. People can just subscribe to a single thread to see announcements of all such crashes. I just linked back here from the "Another cyclist fatality" thread. The overall idea I have in mind is a bit fragmented, but here are the actions I think would be worth considering in the wake of a fatal crash. Having one place to learn about a new crash makes it easier to take action on your next (group or individual) ride.
