The Chainlink

I've got an ILE porteur bag that's in need of some repairs. Before I pop into a luggage repair place, wanted to see if anyone on the chainlink has any tips on anyone in Chicago who does repairs to messenger bags? I'm sure that someone does - I'm now too old and uncool to have any idea how to find that person, though. Thanks!

Alex- I've had success contacting manufacturers directly for repairs and getting an RA #.

Not to take away work from a local shop, but you'll find that many companies will fix their goods for a (very) fair price, plus shipping costs.

Many cleaners who do tailoring will be able to fix this. 'Tis local and at a good price. I had a leather backpack zipper repaired this way.

What's broken? Seams and fasteners are easier to fix than, say, blowouts in panels. You may even be able to do it yourself!
