Map of Fox River Trail from Aurora to Elgin, IPP, and CGW

Since the Fox River Trail has some sections in which the signage leaves much to be desired, I came up with the following trail map. If you're going to venture out, hopefully this helps. Just take note that the Stearns Bridge Expansion project makes the path impassable, and the washout of the underpass at the Stone Bridge makes the path quite dangerous.

Fox River Trail - Aurora to Elgin

If there's any collaborators out there that would like to present detours, let me know.

I've also updated this map to include the IPP and CGW.

I used to work in St. Charles east of the river (just west of DuPage airport) and would take 25 or Dunham Rd. in from the north. If traffic is now like it was back then (early- to mid-90s), maybe those would be two viable options with 25 being the better one. Of course, please note my caveat.
Can we just stop over-glorifying the Burnham Plan? Seriously, there's a lot of mess in Chicago due to it.

Actually I rather liked the new I-88 bridge over the Fox River. It's quite charming compared to older bridges, and is interesting to look at.

Kristian: we didn't really get north of the casino in Elgin last weekend, so I only terminated the map there. If you want to collaborate on the map, email me at vxla at pobox dot com and we can try some of that google collaboration.
here's the Fox River Trail from Crystal Lake to Aurora

Yeah, I realize its not the "Fox River Trail" north of Carpenterville.

Its also on both sides of the River on the southern reaches.

and if you want other trail kml's, I've got lots.

Thanks envane. I'm working on the IPP now and the Great Western Trail.

Does anyone know how to take this stuff from Google Maps and actually export it to a GPS device? Would converting it in Google Maps or exporting it work? I've got a Garmin 60CS that I'd like to check my work with in the field.
