August 19, 2013 (MAYWOOD, Ill.) -- Two men have been charged with breaking the jaw of a 62-year-old man after he moved one of their bicycles, which was blocking the entrance to a west suburban gas station.

The suspects initially yelled at the man after he moved their bike outside the station in the 2400 block of Mannheim Road in unincorporated Leyden Township near Franklin Park about 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 7, according to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's office.

As the man left the store, the suspects punched him in the face and body, the sheriff's office said. They then fled on their bicycles before sheriff's officers arrived.

After an investigation, the sheriff's office identified the two men as Gregory Miller, 19, of Bellwood, who was arrested on Friday in Franklin Park; and Danny Striblin, 18, also of Bellwood, who was arrested on Saturday in Melrose Park, the statement said.

Both are charged with felony aggravated battery causing bodily harm to a person over 60, the sheriff's office said.

Bond was set at $50,000 each on Sunday and both men are expected back in court Tuesday in Maywood.

Yes.

Sorry.

I know, Kevin, I do read the posts that catch my attention. Shouldn't the headline be more specific, though?

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of Ace Mann for the imperfect subject line.

I sincerely hope that the wounds it has caused heal quickly so that victims of this discussion can soon get on with their lives.

Probably some of those spandax bike guys...they are a bit sensitive about people touching their bikes.

Is this really needed?  Why not just wait for more details rather than taking potshots at whatever group of cyclists have raised your ire most recently?

Maywood is known for its Lance-wanna-bes.  Its the sort of place where they leave their Colnagos unlocked in front of the 7-11.

Headline should read: "Idiots break mans face for no good reason".

Hope the old guy heals up quickly!
