At the book signing and talk Friday, the author brought up a website called Strong Towns, a bipartisan (according to the site) organization that's supportive of bike infrastructure and investment while coming from a fiscal conservative - and, she said, politically Republican - background. It's interesting given your comments, Jeff, about making the general public come "back" around to this side of the argument. Very cool thoughts. 

Haven't gotten very far into the book itself but so far, so good.
