I was riding on a somewhat slippery Wrightwood, when a car came up behind me and the woman driving started honking angrily at me. There was plenty of room for her to pass, so I turned around and shrugged my shoulders. She passed me, got right in front of me, and proceeded to stop short several times, as if to cause me to crash my bike. She turned right on Racine, before I could snap a photo of her license plate.

As if that weren't enough, I then got a flat at Chicago and Wells, and today is a crazy busy day at work, so I had to lock up, remove my flat and saddle (seems like a risky area) and take a cab the rest of the way. Awesome!

sorry to hear this...hopefuly that woman will get what she deserves (or needs) to stop hassling cyclists...and here is hoping the rest of your week is smoother and uneventful...

That's a lot to go wrong all in one day. You are no overdue for numerous trouble-free commutes.

Sounds like a typical Chicago driver. I have had many similar encounters with angry rage-cagers. Glad you're okay.
