The Chainlink

Hi everyone. I just found this site tonight because I was hoping to find something that will help me get a bike I found back to the person it belongs to. The bike was found just north of the Cabrini green area. I thought it was weird that such a nice bike was lying on the side of the road . I figured if I grabbed the bike it would have a greater chance at making it back to its owner and that if it were my bike that someone who's going to return it would get to it before someone who wasn't going to try to return it. All I'm gonna say is if you lost a black frame (straight bar at the top bike, male bike?) bike, feel free to contact me and describe the bike. Just know your bike is safe and not being used or messed with.

P.s....if anyone knows anyother sites like this that will help me get the bike back to its owner please let me know

Thanks,

Renee

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the replies and directing me to the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry. I saw Nathan's post this morning and that he indeed described his bike. I was more than happy to drop it off and was just excited that it got back to him. If it were my bike I'd hope that someone would do the same for me. I'm not sure if the block it was on was the block he left it on but after seeing it still lying on the street after I circled the block and waited for my boyfriend to come out of work we had decided to put it in my car and find the owner before someone else grabbed it that wasn't intending on getting it to its owner. I'm so glad that Nathan posted on the website and he got his bike back right away, it worked out very well!!!!

As you already know, it was a match....thanks!

A report came in this morning that seems like a likely match.
