The Chainlink

Hi everyone. I just found this site tonight because I was hoping to find something that will help me get a bike I found back to the person it belongs to. The bike was found just north of the Cabrini green area. I thought it was weird that such a nice bike was lying on the side of the road . I figured if I grabbed the bike it would have a greater chance at making it back to its owner and that if it were my bike that someone who's going to return it would get to it before someone who wasn't going to try to return it. All I'm gonna say is if you lost a black frame (straight bar at the top bike, male bike?) bike, feel free to contact me and describe the bike. Just know your bike is safe and not being used or messed with.

P.s....if anyone knows anyother sites like this that will help me get the bike back to its owner please let me know

Thanks,

Renee

Hi, Renee. Thanks for taking the time to seek out the Chainlink and to post. I sent you an email!

A report came in this morning that seems like a likely match.

Riding a fixie has benifits afterall! I'm sure the person who stole it couldn't figure out how to ride it so they ditched it, just blocks away!

Bravo!

I am super glad he got his bike back!  It's funny, every time  I go into an REI I get a sick queasy feeling too....

Renee,

It Want to give you a heartfelt thank you for going out of your way to help a stranger get his bike back. It is great to see that random acts of kindness still happen. I hope all of us take a lesson from you. Cheers!
