Looking for my Black and Yellow Felt F75 -- Stolen last Monday

My brand new 53cm Felt F75, black with yellow highlights, with Time road pedals, was stolen from Navy Pier last Monday, Oct. 5th.

I am told a bike very much like it was sold by someone named Oscar at the Swap Meet at 41st and Ashland last Thursday, Oct. 8th.

If you've seen it, heard about it, know somebody who knows anything about it; if you know how to get in touch with Oscar, any information at all, please write to me at petersagal [at] gmail.com

Many thanks.

I thought Navy Pier was the culprit.

If the thief/purchaser had heard and responded to Sagal's plea (during pledge week) on WBEZ yesterday morning, that would have made for an improbable and fantastic story. As it stands, this is just another sad chapter in our collective urban cycling experience. As a great fan, and occasional attendee, of Sagal's show, I am disappointed that he rides a taller bike than I do. I hope he finds and rides it. I also hope Sagal put it on the stolen bike registry.

Dubi, from the post, Navy Pier seems more like the victim. (As a human defense attorney, I am fond of seeing the victimization of the "culprit").
It makes me sad to see this, especially with a new bike.

Glad to see you got it posted on the Stolen Bike Registry before someone had to remind you. Well done and hopefully you get it back.

And please invest in a good U-lock (not that I mean to add insult to injury).
did peter say how he locked it up? did he only use a cable? if so, that's sad. there are many bikers who work at WBEZ and he should have seen or heard of people using U-Locks.

i hope you find your bike, peter. maybe you should donate to WBEZ next time they have a Dohan give-a-way :)

also, you or someone at WEBZ need to get in touch with h3 and do a story on bicycle theft in chicago. sounds like h3 knows the ins and outs and has some interesting stories.
