This seems like an unrealistic dream, but the idea here is to turn unused underground tunnels into bike/walk paths in London.

What if Chicago's pedway was reconfigured to add bike lanes, with Divvy stations along the way? Unrealistic, I know. Fun to think about, though.

The "tubes" are deep underground. Only long trips would be worth carrying your bike down, even on escalators.

There are miles and miles of freight tunnels under downtown Chicago (mostly used for utility cables).

There are other tunnels, too.
