Local Kickstarter project needs your help

Hey All,

   I've been volunteering at the Plant with John Edel since almost the beginning of the building. When I told John I wanted to build a farm on the rooftop he was like, "Uh, ok go for it." From the pilot farm in 2011 I grew about 75 pounds of fresh veggies on just about 150-something square feet. This year, the Urban Canopy is expanding this pilot into a full-fledged farm of 3000 square feet and hoping to grow over 2500 pounds of fresh fruits and veggies. We need your help to make the Kickstarter Campaign a success. Please check out the link for more information, to pledge, and to continue helping to spread the word. 

   To be clear, this kickstarter is for The Urban Canopy, which is one of the tenants of The Plant. Thought the Urban Canopy is a completely separate organization, we heart John, The Plant, Bubbly and all the tenants thereof and work toward many of the same goals of environmental sustainability, creative industrial {re}use, and fresh local food.

   Looking forward to meeting many more of our Chainlink community! Jana, of Bike-a-Bee, will have two of her hives on the roof with me this year and down the road, I'd like to have the rooftop veggies distributed by bike as well. Would love your input on how we can make that possible also.
