The Chainlink

I'm going to put an end to my cold, wet feet once and for all. I think I'd prefer a MTB shoe since I want something with good traction for walking on snow/ice. Here's what I've found:

I found a good thread on winter MTB shoes.

Do you know of any other winter cycling shoes? Where can we try these out in Chicago? Do you own any of these? What do you think?

I own a pair of Specialized BG Defroster mountain bike shoes.

So far, they've proven to be quite water resistant, and fairly warm.

If I had to do it over again, however, I'd consider going one size larger to allow for a thicker sock and/or a bigger cushion of air around my foot. I think these aren't as warm as they could be because they fit snugly (like a good bike shoe should for the most part). I think while that maximizes their efficiency for pedaling, it compromises their ability to keep my feet warm. I'm just speculating here, though.
