Do you get to ride along the route or do you have to sit at an intersection?

I've ridden as a ride marshal on the UPAF(United Performing Arts Fund) Ride for The Arts for quite a few years.  Those that sit at the intersections and wave flags are sentries.  I have to be ready to assist a rider who's having a mechanical problem or minor injury. This year's ride is special to me because it will finally go over the Daniel Hoan Bridge, over which I've fought to gain bicycle passage for the past ten years.  Milwaukee bicyclists will gain a superb view of Milwaukee's harbor.  I hope to show that bicyclists can handle the Daniel Hoan Bridge and eventually prove the feasibility of a bike route over the Hoan.
PS The UPAF Ride For The Arts is on Sun. June 5.  The 25, 50, and 75 mile routes will use the Hoan.  The 25 mile riders will only go one way.  The 50 and 75 mile riders will go both ways, due to their much earlier start.  I'll have to help the riders stay in the safe area on the bridge.
