Join the Cycle seeks route from Chicago to Toledo

Hi all.. last night at REI I met the girls riding across country for Join the Cycle and hope this community can help them find the best route out of Hyde Park into NW Indiana. They're heading toward Toledo and are looking to find a route along the IN/MI border. Any suggestions to help them out as they set out this morning? Thanks!
