Is anyone attending the Illinois Bike Summit in Champaign on April 15?

The 3rd Annual Illinois Bike Summit will be held in Champaign on Tuesday, April 15th, and there will be some great speakers, including a session with the Chainlink's Julie Hochstadter! The Illinois Department of Transporation (IDOT) will also be debuting their new Bicycle Transportation Plan. A full list of speakers and sessions is attached.

What do you think of this year's topics? Do you have suggestions for topics that you'd like to see included next year?

More info and registration is available at www.illinoisbikesummit.org. Deadline to register is April 8.

Happy to see I'll be speaking between two of my favorite people, Gina Kenny of LIB and Lawyer Jim of Freeman/Kevenides.

I've never been to any national or regional summits ever so I'm looking forward to hearing all about what's going on on the state level, etc.

I'll probably drive up that morning and will be leaving right after the presentation (about 4:30), so if someone wants to carpool let me know.

There is a chance I'll actually head up the night before so I can make it for the bike ride in the AM.

I plan on attending, "schedule permitting" as the expression goes.
