Have you looked into the Gimp?

It is not as full on awesome as Photoshop, but the price is pretty good (free):

yeap. Well iggi may have just been awkwardly asking to legally buy someone's license to the software.

Both of them are too expensive for most of us, which leads to a lot of people trying to obtain them through sketchy means. It is also why I posted a link to the Gimp.

There is also an open source vector graphics program, Inkscape, which may be an adequate substitute for Illustrator. There are Mac OS X disc images available.

I can't vouch for it, but if one is to believe what one reads on the internet, it gets the job done.
