The Illinois Department of Transportation is developing its statewide transportation plan that will guide what investments are made over the coming years. They are seeking public input through an online survey and a series of public meetings.
It is very important that rail and transit advocates make their voice heard in this process. You don't have to be an Illinois resident to participate since the hub of the Midwest's passenger rail network is in Chicago. If you live outside Illinois you can still help get Union Station prioritized by making a comment in the last question.

I mostly voted for better rail transport, more bike lanes, and increased gas/car taxes. I'd imagine that most Chainlinkers would vote similarly.
Thanks for posting this, Serge. This is the second IDOT survey in less than a year, and I hope lots of Chainlinkers speak up.
