I've been posting on as many forums that I can find that might have some folks with experience dating old steel frames. My wife thinks I'm obsessed, or maybe possessed would a better description. Over the Memorial weekend, my wife dragged through a bunch of garage sales in our area. I'll never fight her again. When I saw the rather grimy, somewhat rusty steel road bike, I thought that it might make a good weekend project bike. What I ended up with after a good cleaning was an 80's? Specialized Expedition in what I'd have to describe as excellent condition. I've ridden it a couple of times on quick 15 mile rides and I think I'm in love! It has tobe the sweetest, smoothest bike that I've ever ridden. Not that I have experience riding all kinds of bikes.

I think that is mostly original, and I've done lots of research, but there doesnt seem to be much history about the expedition. Can anyone help?
