Anyone else biff it at Fullerton this morning where the waves were hitting the curve and turned to ice? I noticed some sand bags that were perhaps meant to alert riders to the conditions, but it was too late for me to slow down once I found myself in the middle of it. I may have been better off just riding through it as I saw some others do after me, but I tried to move to the gravel and ended up falling instead. Am hoping it's just scrapes and bruises, but I can't put weight on my wrist so I'm praying it's not something more serious.

Be careful out there!

And when you crash, make sure you buy yourself a cupcake.  :)

I saw some guy on a Gary Fisher road bike wipe out hard there at about 8am. He seemed to be ok though, although I don't think he was wearing a helmet, or even a hat, and it was freezing this morning. I rode on the upper part, it was still icy up there though, with half-frozen mud. Still better than yesterday when I was dodging dictionary-sized chunks of asphalt Lake Michigan was tossing at me.
