This was posted on craigslist. Not here. I'm copying and pasting, not my bike.
Stolen in front of Wendy's on Division just west of Ashland-
Black Pake (but with no logo on the frame, just all black) with brown straight-bladed fork.
Blue low profile front Velocity rim, rear Mavic open-sport silver rim.
Black Brooks saddle
The bike has a bunch of stickers, the biggest says "I (heart) Lawyers"
If you see this bike please give me a call asap, 312 810 0010, reward offered - $100
And just in general - there seems to be a rash of this right now, as i know a bunch of people who've had bikes stolen recently. The drive-thru guy at Wendy's actually saw this happen: a black sedan drives up next to the bike rack, passenger gets out and uses bolt cutters on the lock, throws the bike in the trunk, gets back in, they drive off. All in like 15 seconds. Scary.

That is sad. There is always a "rash" of bike thefts in this city -especially when it is YOUR bike that got stolen :( People usually notice things after it hits home and not to "other" people. That's human nature I guess.
As for trolling Craigslist, I'm sure there are tons of people who are trolling C-list for bikes but it seems that things are really slowing down this year as many bikes seem to be listed over and over again at fairly decent prices. What's up with that?
Maybe there should be a thread or maybe even group on The Chainlink for good deals, neat vintage stuff (especially British 3-speeds), outrageous/crazy prices to laugh about, and such neat stuff that can be passed on here and shared when found on Craigslist.
