Pretty proud of myself - still haven't taken a day off this year/season due to weather.

Bikes lanes (Kinzie and Milwaukee) are MUCH better than they were the end of last week.  Sun is out...ride was good.  Just had to battle a little bit of wind.

A.M. commute: A group of 5 bike drivers converged at Wells and Ohio.  The more the merrier!  It pumps me up.

P.M. commute: Warm and fun, made some lights.  The final leg on a side street 3 blocks from home, 'Down goes Frazier'.  And just like you, I'm thinking, nooo not the bike, don't hurt the bike.  After sailing through Thursday and Fridays slop too.  On the side street in the right wheel track, switch to the left wheel track,

patch of ice did me in.  Embarrassing says I.

I can feel myself start to wuss out again. Tomorrow's forecast of really cold drizzle that may turn into freezing rain is turning me off, especially since there might be snow involved in the PM commute. I really need some inspiration.

Sadly, no...

Not too bad today. But looking at everyone was really depressing lol Never underestimate the power of a good playlist :)

Days like this are the worst days to be a dog walker. There's no way I'll be biking because I'm too chicken. Plus, I'll be wet and miserable. Not looking forward to driving in this, either.

I rode. It wasn't that bad, but definitely not my favorite weather. Light drizzle and a gray ugly morning. Overall not a bad ride and I arrived at work only slightly damp. On a more positive note, the wind was at my back so it was pretty easy going.

@Holly, I don't blame you for that  I have a Burton softshell that I got recently that kept me at a comfortable temp today and dry, a pair of water resistant gloves and jeans with a pair of bike pants underneath. That and a hat I got to work nice and dry. My commute is only 4 miles though :/ @ Melanie~ Jelous...wind was back handing me all the way here lol

Please take this as humor :D

Yes! SB on the LFT was spectacular this morning -- massive tailwind! We'll probably pay for it this afternoon, but... The Oak St. curve is fine, by the way, just FYI. A tiny stretch of broken ice in one spot but not a problem to ride right through.

@Rozie- No need to be jealous, I have an 8 mile commute against the wind this evening (weather.com listed it as 18-20mph at 5:00pm).  After a full work day,  I'll get my @ss handed to me on my way home :) Hopefully the drizzle will stop so it won't be too miserable.

Not too bad this morning - winds hadn't picked up yet and the drizzle wasn't too cold.  Not sure what the PM commute is going to be like though.  Fingers crossed they salt the Kinzie bike lane if it really turns into freezing rain!
