The harbor looks much calmer in that last photo than it was.  And look at the color difference between the harbor water and the open lake water.

Some of the waves were 20+ feet on the lake side, but with the wind from the north, the harbor was protected. As you noted, the lake was stirred up and tan, but blue in the protected harbor.

That was me - it was my collar bone. I'm at 95% now and back riding again.
