Be careful out there!  The commute home to Rogers Park along Sheridan was pretty scary even in the early afternoon, especially the curve between Chicago and Evanston.  They had to close that stretch at 10pm due to wind and snow drifts.  I biked some groceries home later yesterday and my bike toppled over when I was walking it.  Thankfully the snow kept my beer bottles from breaking!  Hope you all find some plowed road somewhere because there isn't a whole lot up here.
I rode today because no one plowed our streets, so i carried my bike to a single tire lane and then to a somewhat main street.  Instead of car's, Hooray only plows, it was just wonderful other than the bad wind.  It took me 45 minutes today when normally only 20, but i don't really think it was that bad. When i got to work i found out it was closed and no calls to let everyone know.  But it was a nice bike ride.
I've had good luck finding plows to tailgate today.
Rode to Logan Square and back this afternoon.  Streets like a scene from The Road, scavengers out in search of human flesh (or maybe just clearing their driveways).  Bike is trashed, but ego boosted by being told I was "one tough motherfucker".  Wasn't really that bad, it's been a lot worse here, but happy to take the unwarranted credit.
Going to a bar tonight 7 miles north. I heard it's supposed to be cold, oh well. Beer > being a wuss about the cold
It goes both ways.  I was called "Bad" as in BAMF, but I was also called "Moron!" from a car on Western last night.

I rode to work this evening around 10:30.  It was surprisingly easy.  The bike lanes on Armitage, Damen and Milwaukee were all pretty clear.  Halsted, less so.  Might be a very chilly ride home this morning.

Not too bad this morning. Main roads were salted and generally clear of snow. Side roads less so.

Traffic was Sunday morning light. And that advertised wind chill was nowhere to be seen.

After all a nice ride in.

Was planning to walk to my 9:00 appointment. Now that I've read that the windchill isn't as insane as they're saying, I'll just ride over there. It's only a hop, skip and a jump. The rest of the day...I don't know.

How cold does it feel?

It wasn't that cold this morning (relatively).   No problem commuting if you can get to a plowed street.

Not too bad. Windchill is above zero right now.You may want to walk to a main street, but from there it should be good
