Nice day for a fatbike ride. Keep on riding Chicago!

Not riding, but so far I have shoveled twice.

Man. Beast. Bike.  Get out and ride!

I got up early, shoveled, and left a few minutes early. Helped someone stuck on a side street...side streets in Logan Square are pretty much impassable, car or bike. If you can get to a main road, it's easy. Like a Sunday morning out there...no cars.

Nope. Nope. Ventra card. Probably will be fine later this am, but I'm so glad I didn't ride Ogden or Roose this morning. Roads are getting okay, but people be cray trying to use their cars like idiots. Blank/blank gunning it on Roose and Wood near the Lighthouse. Thank godzilla spaghetti monster no blind or visually impaired person was crossing.

No worries, didn't see any other riders though.

I should have ridden today. Took me about 30 minutes to shovel out to the garage to get my Schwinn three-speed to ride to the train. Walked the half-block-plus to Ridge St, then the rest of the ride to the train was fine. The platform and stairs at the station weren't shoveled. In retrospect, I would have gotten a bike out of the basement faster and been on my way down a likely car-less Clark Street, or a "fresh powder" LFT. :-(

Rode in from Evanston.  Clark Street was pretty clear (other than cross streets and driveways).  With the tailwind and almost zero traffic, it was a relatively quick ride in.  Glad I rode.

While heading south on the Lakefront trail the plowing came to an abrupt end one block south of Montrose. Took Marine to Canon (plowed but not salted by the zoo) to Lake Shore Drive.

Here's some video of Kinzie and Dearborn this morning during my ride in:  http://www.mybikeadvocate.com/2015/02/chicago-protected-bike-lanes-...

Thanks Brendan. With the long delays on the Blue Line today I had been wishing I had walked my bike to Milwaukee. Seeing Kinzie and Dearborn, I am glad I took the train. Hope they are cleared tomorrow!

Clark Street was completely clear this morning--soggy pavement from Rogers Park to Webster. Consider switching to the inland route if LFP isn't clear tomorrow. You'll like it!
