Oooo I love the flowers on the asphalt Gene!

So Bike to Work week is over and everyone stayed home?  Or did they all put their bikes away until next year? The LFP was almost empty.

Or everyone got "Scared by Skilling"{tm}......    and the weather reports of thunderstorms for the next few days...   I'll ride in rain, but having known someone killed by a lightening strike, I am almost paranoid about not being "exposed" to the risk....

Not even a drizzle when I was riding.  In fact, the seemingly never ending fog was gone, too!

It was raining pretty decently this morning. I suspect that deterred many would be riders.

When were you out? On my morning commute, the southside LFP was pretty empty, but SB traffic on the northside LFP was picking up. Though not crowded, by any means. Mostly commuters (as opposed to pathletes), judging from the ponchos and backpacks.

I've seen it said that the clouds are more of a deterrent than rain, as such.

I admit I did not ride today. I just didn't feel like it. Of course by the time I got to work I remember how much better I like riding instead of the train.

On the path starting at about Addison at about 7:30 to Monroe ending slightly before 8:00.

No rain this am during my commute. Albeit a bit later than usual. It was crazy heavy foggy. At the bike coral at work, my bike is once again the only one. : ( well ignoring the 2 abandon bikes. (26-halsted-Roose no other riders).

Lisa! I *thought* that was you passing me before the curve!

I love riding in the rain in the summer--not for the least reason that I don't have to commute to work on Clark. It's just not peaceful commuting in traffic, which is something of a bummer in the morning.

I found a red rain jacket on DesPlaines and Lake, maybe dropped by someone on their ride in this morning. Let me know if you lost one and what brand/size it is (there's something in the pocket you might need today)

I don't own a red rain coat.  its not mine!  but I did ride this morning.  was humid, but at least it wasn't crazy hot on top of that.  my hair has the sweat-gel look going right now.
