Gene, lovely pics.  What are you using?

Ann, thank you for the kind words and for asking. I like compacts for my photography, not only on my bike for obvious lightweight, portability issues but also at work where I can slither through a construction site without banging it around. My little Canon S95 outperforms all the singe lens reflex cameras that are collecting dust on my shelf. It is a remarkable, dent-ridden machine that does all the things automatically that I used to remember how to do. You photograph?

Hell no.

Yes, that was a bad idea today.  The future radar map on weather.com lied to me.

Well, that was fun.... Hopefully everything will be close to dry for the ride home. Drivers seemed to be extra cautious of the crazy lady on the bike at 6:30. Thank you (please try it everyday no matter the weather!).

I am glad I left earlier so I could take what is left of the lane on Wells because there was no seeing what was under those new puddles. Hope it dries up soon so that can get fixed... I need to plan another route home!

Jenn, let me know what you come up with for the ride home, I followed a couple of other bikers southbound on the sidewalk at Wells since no one was out walking.  I have extra clothes to bike home in but the edges of my leather saddle got wet even with a cover so I'm hoping it'll be dry by this evening.

I am with you Jenn, it wasnt bad, drivers were careful.  Wow it was raining so hard it, sort of a slow side street sort of ride/swim in this morning.

Hell yes.

First time in a long time, but I agree:  hell no!  From 5:30 when I got up until a brief reprieve at about 7:10 it was raining so hard I could not even take my poor dogs out.

I wish we had Divvy, though, because if it is dry(er) when I leave it would be nice to ride home.

Yes...I hit a window between 8:40 and 9am. Grateful for fenders on days like these.

yea good training for your 600.  are you going to CM on friday?
