I often find some sweet bikes at op shops and the like. Anyone else had some great finds?

I found this 1980s Colnago a few days ago at an Op Shop. All it needed was some new tyres and a good clean. Cost me $10! Anyone else had any finding bikes at secondhand stores? Post pics if you can.

$10...wow. I'll give you $15 for it!!! :)
I was at the Lombard Metra station a few months back and met a guy who had the same bike as me (Schiwnn Traveler). Turns out he got his for $5 from a yard sale, I paid $180 from a used bike store. Once in awhile I'll look at the bikes at thrift stores and they never seem to be all that cheap.
swoon. . .

hey post it to old ten speed gallery. Their brain will explode just like mine.
never. All I see are bad dept store bikes and the occasional Varsity that looks like it's been dredged from the bottom of a lake.

I've had the best luck at yard sales and in answering CL ads with ignorant sellers and bad photos.

But never a Colnago for $10. Is that a Reynolds frame? Are you for real?
wow that is a gem of a find. I pray we never see it in the 'badly locked bike' thread....
WOW........!!!!!!!!!! I, sir, am truly jealous.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is an 'op shop'? After reading this thread I wanna find one!

yeah I've never heard that term either seems to be an australian term(according to wikipedia) but he's just referring to a thrift shop, resale store, salvation army, or goodwill etc...
I guessed as much, just wanted to be sure...

Sorry, an Op Shop is really just a secondhand store that sells anything from books, clothing and furniture to, well, bikes...but very rarely do they get any decent bikes in, I was just lucky! The store I found my bike at is a charity organistation, and they don't really have a great knowledge of bikes and the like, so I was able to score this sweet ride for almost nothing. Love it.
