I'm sure we all know Saturday night is the CBF Active Transportation Alliance Bash. Sunday night is also the awards banquet for the Illinois Cycling Association and will feature Christian Vande Velde as the guest speaker! All are invited, see illinoiscycling.org for details.

Sunday morning though... The State Cyclocross Championships are being held at Montrose Beach! We're lucky to have the ChiCross cup centered around the city, and this is the final race of the series. The winner also earns an Illinois state championship jersey and major tough guy/gal points for winning ANYthing held this time of year involving a bike.

I'll be there with cowbells, pots, pans and hopefully an instrument from the tuba family. My teammate is shooting for the Cat 3 series titles and the win, so make sure to pull for the Burnham Racing guys! I know Julie P from this board will probably be there with her 'mates.

Put on your warm undies, bring hot chocolate (and the necessary additives) and have a great time!
