3699.4 miles cycled in 2024 after 275.2 miles (268.0 outdoor / 7.2 indoor) for November.

November brought new sensations -- moderate osteoarthritis and tendinitis diagnosed in right shoulder and arm, with suspected left shin splint -- perhaps in response to my ramping up my mileage in late October?? In any case my momentum was halted in the 11th month, with only 371.2 road miles rolled, pushing my total to 4,623.1 miles Y-T-D. Subsequently, I fell back to 1,326.7 miles behind Curt(is)2023. With a shin splint, wisdom is to give. it. a. rest.  Hard to back off, and usually cycling is recommended as an alternative to running when shin splints develop! However, I don't want to cultivate a stress fracture. So there's that.

Not a record year but close... (550 miles shy)

7,545 miles cycled outside in 2024

67% on road bike, 33% on mountain bike

~1050 mi. were for transportation/ errands/ groceries

25 vertical miles total of elevation gain

503 hours in the saddle

260 total rides

Closed the year with a crisp evening quarter century ride down to Wolf Lake on December 30th.  It was quiet and lovely. However, 2024 was my lowest mileage since at least 2014, when I had only started to pursue my lost mojo in that spring of my 53rd year. My year-end total is 4,810.5 road miles in 2024. One solo Perimeter Ride, performed on September 8th. There were 129 riding days.  I finished 1,292.3 miles behind Curt(is)2023.

However, over the long haul, in the decade from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2024 I biked 78,837.5 miles.
