Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr. proposed at last night's city council meeting that the stretch of road near Bobby Cann's crash site be named "Honorary Bobby Cann Way".

Bobby was biking home from work on May 29 when he was struck and killed by a car. The driver, Ryne San Hamel, has since been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI resulting in death.

Sounds like a great idea.

I support this idea.

You can track the legislation on the City Clerk's Legistar website. A sign would be placed at the northwest corner of Clybourn and Larrabee.

Thank you for the link! I've sent it to Bobby's friends and family.
