Hi Chainlinkers,

I'm teaching at Columbia College and have a very talented graduate student who is new to town and seeking subjects for a photography portrait project. He has done brilliant photographs of people in water (a warmer climate than Chicago) and has started on athletes at the end of their workout or race. With winter coming he needs indoor subjects and I have suggested spinning workouts and track practice and racing.

What I need for him are contacts for those individuals who are in charge of teams or facilities, so he can scout out the best possibilities. He has beautiful work some of which is on his website:

Thanks in advance for any ideas or assistance.

gang bangers, spitters and drunk bikers who can still make it.

have an 'endless pool' to photograph triathletes swimming in the 'treadmill'.

The Chicago marathon is tomorrow. wait by the finish line and ask runners to pose.
Thnx. He's planning on doing that, but needs to go on to more constant subjects.

I know this is a little old, but there was guy in yellow out taking pictures at Lincoln and Montrose this morning. I'm sure I gave the guy a blank stare as I rose by.

Guess that's one way to find subjects....find a corner and snap away.
Tell them it's art...."that's not a nipple.it's
a perky expression....look at the color blush of that
thing...It's beautiful."

FYI, the link is NSFW if you have Nipple Police at work.
yah...I really don't appreciate having a lense pointed at me that I didnt ask for. I always turn my head when passing these surprise male photographers that situate themselves on the bike path. Either that or accelerate rapidly in their direction while obstructing their shot with my hand and they get the message. Just a little too creepy to me that they're out there zooming in on girls in spandex. I really dont want my picture on a fetish site.
