Particularly gruesome public safety comics on a site run by a friend of mine.  One lesson is, helmet or not, if a man in spandex asks you to touch his brain, run.

You can touch my brain when you pry it from my broken fingers.

This is so very, very true.

It is bad enough to sell safety through gore but the fact that all of those ads center on showing how it is entirely the riders fault is utter and complete bullshit which promotes not only the mindset that cycling is inherently very dangerous but it also reinforces the concept that cyclists are always at fault, even when I driver does something in error.

This is the best way to discourage cycling.
