here's the short story:
Wednesday (3/25) about 5:20pm: I get off metra at cylborn and find my brook saddle gone.
Friday (3/27): i see a co-worker who also bikes to the train with my brooks on his bike. I ask him where he got the saddle. "Craigslist just yesterday".
This co-worker I dont know well (really we both work at abbott and take the train. that is the extent of how much we know each other).
He was very nice and let me give him same amount of money that he bought it off CL for and he gave me the email address of the person who sold it to him.
wes.caddick AT gmail
he unfortuntaly doesnt have an address or phone as all of the interaction was done over the internet and "Wes" came over to his place.
So my question. Can the police even use this info. an email address.
I unfortunatly dont have the copy of CL post and searching CL comes up blank since they dont use real email addresses.
atleast if you have a dealing with this "Wes" bewared that the part is possibly stolen.
thanks for anyhelp
