Had I not witnessed it myself, i woulda said ur crazy

so....Sunday morning I'm driving (yes...) southbound down the Kennedy to the 'cross race. Stop and go traffic due to the marathon began around Chicago Ave.

LO and BEHOLD, a CYCLIST comes cruising past me (I'm in the second-to-leftmost lane)! Now, I can't remember exactly where I was, and I've been studying the Google satellite map to figure it out. I'm sure it was before Hubbards Cave, but after Milwaukee Ave.

Needless to say I'm stunned, but absolutely fascinated by this!

Where did he get on? and how/where did he get off? I lost sight of him seconds later, so I didn't see where he went, or where he could have gone, on the left hand side.

Thinking back to the poor guy who got hit on the Dan Ryan this summer, makes me wonder...is there some secret society that figures out 'shortcuts' across the 'canal' that is the expressway, by using on/off ramps? wow!

Yes, there is a secret society.
I've been trying to find the link to their website and events calendar for you, but it's eluding me for some odd reason . . .
trust me..it's not elite. maybe the opposite.
I witnessed (first hand) chopper carl (harris) taking a 'detour' onto I-290 during the humboldt park
critical mass ride this spring. a few folks said they were 'right behind him' but that didn't happen.
basically - he went down the on-ramp, rode in the construction zone and they came up the off-ramp.

Ironically - we had a dinner break later that ride at felony franks. so cool being served chicago hot
dogs from a former convict who was (literally) still behind bars !

Nothing's elite about risking getting hit with 2 tons traveling 65 mph.

In August while heading north on the Ryan right after the 55 split, I saw a hipster chick on a fixie riding the shoulder against the traffic...
