got bent at mass
While happily attending my first mass I stopped in front of this car who was trying very hard to edge into the stream at Washington and Bishop. I guess this guy, a yuppie if I ever saw one, forgot to hold his brake, he rolled into my wheel.
We settled without cops, I charged him $200, went to a friends house and bought her early eights fuji tourer, changed the wheels and rode home. (I've had my eye on this fuji for a while, even if it's too big for me...I'll sell it and thus have free wheels)
Was this kosher? What would you have done?

I'm 5'10~11" and it's about 2 inches too high via stand-over...so like 6'0" to 6'5" for a good fit.

I'd run you over on purpose, charge you for it and then move in your house and call your family my own. People get a life. If you want to be on C mass and be a part of an unruly mob, get ready to pay out of your own pocket, cause that is the only way your gonna get anyone's respect from anyone who is worth more than junk bike or wheel.

I just gotta say that people gotta take responsibility for their own actions and quit blaming everyone else. You also cannot justify corking an intersection for more than a few minutes or riding on LSD with crap like cars don't belong or we hate BP. People just cop up to the truth and admit it just another excuse to drink, ride and cross lines that cannot be enforced practically. Me I am just a follower, I don't justify bad behavior with anything other that what it amounts too. No one who corks intersections, acts like a fool or rides on LSD in setting any kind of example or changing anything other than to make more city and the cops pissed off next month. I am really curious as to how next month will play out .... any predictions ?

Sorry, I really am glad your ok and you got what you needed from the Universe so it all worked out. 43 years old so we all have it correctly. trolling was harsh, I'll admit; This is not anonymous enough to really do that anyway.
But Cuti, you exemplified the point perfectly: what I did is slightly unethical on a personal level. That's why I came in here and asked for an aggregate opinion...and you delivered in spades man. I tried to pedal off and continue, my night was not over, but...well, that wheel don't turn. Only when I was off the bike did scam mode kick in.
I'll say this: my time here has definitely hastened the erosion of my ability to stick to the moral ideals I once held(they were already well in decline before I arrived). -
