Can anyone recommend a good helmet for an 18 month old girl?  I figured this might have been covered before, but couldn't find anything on it and this Spring we are getting Jackson and Zoe all set up for cycling! (can't wait!)  Any input is appreciated.

Our shop stocks some of the toddler helmets from Airius. They are not high end, but they are CPSC approved and fit toddlers' heads. Our 20-month old got one at about 13 months and did fine with it last season.

Looks like Amazon also stocks some of the Bell and Giro models for toddlers.
My son has a Giro helmet. Fits him fine...he started wearing it when he was less than 2 y.o. and he is still wearing it now at 3 1/2 y.o. He likes it, it meets safety requirements, it was quite affordable.

Do you have specific questions?
No, but I have visited the links below, and looked over some options. Also read up on Bike Forums and believe it or not Serotta had some stuff too, though a bit off the beaten path for them. Folks seem to really dig the Nutcases, Little Nutty as well. I have a STRONG feeling those will be Chaney's favorite, and I bet I can guess which one it will be too. Uh. $45 vs $19 or $16. Uh.

I'll report back as I do more research, but if others have comments please chime in. I really couldn't stand the graphics on the pink Xanthus, but I imagine they may have other designs....hopefully!

We purchased a Lazer BOB helmet for our son when I first started taking him out on the bike (right before he turned 1 year), and he is still wearing it at 30 months. Granted, our son is on the small side, but one of the reasons I went with the Lazer BOB was that it appeared to have a larger size range within the infant / toddler helmet lineup. Plus, it was only $25.

The helmet has actually held up well, and he and I have taken some spills where I was definitely glad he had a helmet. Now that he's cruising on the run trike / bike, he's taking even more spills, and the helmet is working just fine.

Plus, my wife thinks our son looks really cute in the helmet.
