The Midwest is the unofficial home of gravel road riding.  The boys at AxelTree are at the forefront of the gravel movement and the Night Bison Gravel Nocturne is a great event for beginners and veterans alike.  The ride is great prep for the upcoming cross season or for those looking for a change of scenery.

As always, if you ride, shoot me a summary and I will post it.

Cheers.

I'll be there. Anybody else?

There is a small group of half acre riders headed up, and a couple of us former team members

Sounds like fun.  Not so fun is the 2 hour drive home after.

Hopefully the guy in front of you is!

Any body planning on running fenders tonight?

I think it might be wet.

I know if I change my tires to challenge fangos (mud) and put my full fenders in we will stay dry. If I leave on the file treads and do not bring any rain gear we will get soaked

Hey Grinders,

Thanks for the thread. Hope you all enjoyed the Night Bison. If you like the site - www.greatlakesadventureproject.com - please forward it on to friends. More importantly, feel free to throw comments and suggestions my way.

More posts to come.

Fun ride, fast course.  Thanks to the organizers for putting it on.

I wore my lake gortex boots (hotter then hell) < this is why it did not rain

It was a great ride, I finished it at 3hrs 12 minutes
