I am selling a pair of size 44 Giro Prolight SLX shoes, nearly new.

Price is $200 (MSRP $400)

These are super light shoes (205 grams for the pair), super comfortable, and super stiff. The sole is Easton EC90 carbon, the upper is Teijin AG100 superlight microfiber. The soles are drilled for 3-hole pattern cleats (Look, Shimano, Time). They use three off-set velcro straps, with no ratcheting upper to save weight. The velcro is a high-quality fastener and I never had a problem with it coming undone on climbs or sprints. Included with the Prolight SLX road shoes are two insoles and three arch-supports, all in varying thickness. This is called their SuperNatural Fit Kit, and it helps you customize the insole to meet your arch support needs.

These shoes are incredible, and I'm sad to have to sell them. The fit for the 44 is a little bit bigger than Sidi or Shimano shoes, and is more like a 10.5 than a 10. Even with thicker socks, I just couldn't make it work. They have been ridden probably less than 15 times (less than 1000 miles). There are some superficial marks and chips on the sole from where my cleat missed the pedal a few times and from walking down the stairs. They are in great shape, and priced to sell.

Great, super light, super comfortable shoes for the upcoming race season.
