The Chainlink

We just posted this blog.

Copied/pasted here:

In our 2010 membership survey, Active Trans members were asked which of the organization's efforts they considered most important. In response, members said lobbying/advocacy for legislation and funding to improve bicycling, walking and transit was what they valued most.

That's why Active Trans recently partnered with the League of Illinois Bicyclists to survey 273 Illinois congressional candidates about their personal transportation habits, as well as their views on bicycle and pedestrian safety and transit funding.

Check out the full results and access a copy of the original survey to send out in case we didn't get a response from a particular candidate. After reading the results, get ready to bike, walk or take transit to the polls this November.

Thanks! This is great. What would make this better is if next to their names a short description of what they were running for and the position and/or locale of the office. To a degree this is admitting ignorance of local politicians but with so many it is difficult to keep track of who or what they are running for.
Thanks, that's good feedback. We're working on adding some more information similar to your recommendation and hope to have that up soon. Meanwhile, we wanted to get it out sooner rather than later.

Thanks,
