I had an interesting discussion this morning with one of the parents at my Kid's school He was locking up his Kid's bike. I asked him where he was going to take them biking this summer. He said he had thought about it, and would need to get a new bike first. He admitted he had an old bike at home. I pointed out my (old) Road Bike and pointed out that an old bike could work. I found out that his old bike was a Club Fuji with all Campy Parts. Apparently he had decided that it was "dead" because the tires needed to be replaced..... He was thinking of just throwing it out. I have pointed him toward Working Bikes or suggested he have a garage sale. Should I have made him an offer? What's a good price for that kind of old bike? Is it fair to take advantage (which will no doubt arise this summer at garage sales) of people that don't know what they have?

If he's just throwing it out ask if you can have it or offer something you feel ok with. I don't think that its taking advantage if he was going to throw it out because he didn't want to spend $60+ on a pair of tires. Either that or try to convince him to keep it and get it tuned up. Sounds like he has money to burn.
There's no one "good" price. Just limiting yourself to the Campy components, you need to consider condition, model and relative rarity. Nobody really wants Valentino derailleurs. Super Record is another story. Record hubs are great, but cone nuts are getting hard to find (ask me how I know), so if they need rebuilding, that will cost you a few bucks.
Now to the frame. A Club Fuji is probably a very nice frame, but it's not a Colnago Mexico. :-)
I think you get my drift. Every bike is different. If he decides to have a garage sale, I'd be happy to take a look at it. The odds of getting a good price at a garage sale are low. He'd be better off advertising it on Craigslist (make sure he spells "Campagnolo" correctly). There are a lot of us scouring CL for bikes and parts.
