Groupon's internal cycling group, the Bicycollective, is raising money to install a PUBLIC bike fix-it station (bike pump, tools, stand) at the corner of Larrabee and Kingsbury in River North.

Bike pump: http://www.bikefixtation.com/products/high-security-public-bike-pum...
The target fundraising goal of $1,300 includes the purchase, shipping, installation, and permit costs associated with each station. Once we reach our goal, we'll purchase one complete station and then keep fundraising till we get to our next goal (purchasing a second station).
Here's how you can help:
1) Come to the fundraising Zumba class we're throwing on Saturday, May 3 (tomorrow), from 11:30a–12:30p. Should be great fun. Advanced RSVP gets you $5 off!
$20 in advance or $25 at the door gets you a one-hour Zumba lesson with all the proceeds going to this project (well, except for $100, which pays for the space and the instructor).
Sign up at http://gr.pn/Zumbafundraiser
2) Donate some bucks by paying for admission to the event even if you can't come.
FAQ: Why doesn't Groupon just pay for the station(s)?
Groupon wants to use this fundraising opportunity as a way to get the community involved. After all, this station won't be just for Groupon (or 600 West) employees. It will be in the public space and we want everyone to have the opportunity to chip in. Also, getting $1,400 (or more) squeezed out of an already planned budget is pretty tough! :)
