The Chainlink

I’m finally selling my Giant NRS. I was going to sell the frame and parts, but realized I had enough lying around to build up the bike. The main reason I’m selling is that I got new MTB last October (this one was a little too big for me). I’d recommend this bike for someone who is 5’8” to 5’11”, though others might be able to fit on it.

The NRS is a great full suspension MTB, especially for the Midwest. I got the bike new back in 2005 for really cheap and upgraded parts over time. I rode it primarily in 2005-2006 before switching to mostly road riding. The bike has lots of small scratches from use over time (hey, it’s a MTB), but it’s 100% in great riding shape! Some of the parts are brand new and everything else has been checked and/or overhauled. The bike is also fairly light at 27 lbs (with everything listed below).

I really would prefer this to go to someone local. It would make a great “entry level” full suspension bike for someone, but would also be good for racing. The NRS suspension system has very little pedal bob and I honestly didn’t see much difference going up hill with this vs a hardtail.

Feel free to shoot me questions or stop by if you want to check it out and take it for a test spin.

Thanks!
