Some of you know Janie, some of you don't, but she makes no sense in the hills of Seattle, so it's time we parted ways.
So, Janie is a pretty unique bike. I ordered it custom made by Jonny Cycles of Madison, WI in 2006. The frame geometry is street-friendly, and the couplers (info here: http://www.sandsmachine.com/) make it great for travelers. (I flew regularly in my last job and enjoyed bringing this bike with. The couplers allow it to break down and thus avoid bike check fees.)

The bike is a 48cm Jonny Cycles frame. Highlights of the build include stars cut out of anything that will fit them, seatstays cut open at the seattube, S&S Couplers, a polished stainless headtube and fork crown, and a shiny star where a rear brake hole would have otherwise gone. (No, there's not a hole under there!)
It's got Phil hubs and BB, nonmachined Velocity Deep V rims, Superbe Pro cranks and chainring, Nitto stem, Soma swallow bars (a change since the photos here), Thompson seatpost with a well-aged WTB saddle, and a 105 brake with Cane Creek lever. I will include the S&S travel backpack (http://www.sandsmachine.com/ac_back.htm).
