I know why they are free. The very first sentence:

"I researched this book in 1974 and 1977 and published it in 1978. I have not updated it."

It should be an interesting read, but very outdated.

Still cool, but I still prefer sitting down with a paper book.

Thanks, Tom. Interesting business model: create a Kindle edition for an old book that's decades pre-Kindle, then give it away as a promotion.
