Wife found a Trek bike dumped in the weeds near the W entrance to the Francisco stop on the Brown Line.   Seems vanishingly unlikely that someone would have just left it there intending to come back for it so wife brought it home.  

Appeals on the neighborhood FB groups have not turned up its owner, and it's not on the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry.

Let me say: it's a very basic bike, not worth much, not a cool old racing or touring machine, condition is 'well-used' but quite rideable, recent tires.

Will probably turn it over to police if no one claims it.
