Fixing an orginal? generator light for my vintage Schwinn

I got a vintage Schwinn "Traveler III" from Working Bikes several years back. When I purchased it the generator light did work. But now it does not. Last time I toke the bike in for a tune up I ask them to take a look at it. They said they couldn't fix it do to burnt out bulb or a short.

I looking for places I could take to get fixed. If there are places who have experience fixing vintage generator light and would have the parts. Or if it is even worth it. I mainly use it for commuting and like to be pretty visible. I do currently have other lights.

The bulbs are still available in Europe and online but not anywhere locally new (though maybe an electronics or lighting company?). They are 6v 2.4w for the front if you have a rear bulb too, 6v 3w if not, and the rear is 6v 0.4w. Working Bikes has some, possibly involving buying a lamp with them. The repair if any is really simple usually - make sure the wire is making contact well everywhere and that the parts are grounded to the frame. Or change to two-strand wire, one strand following the same course as the current wire, and the other strand connecting the metal lamp and generator clamps or bodies. Consider also keeping the same generator and just replacing the lamps with modern LED standlight versions - much brighter and don't go out when you wait at an intersection.
