I live in Buena Park and bike to the South Loop almost every weekday for work. That gives me the opportunity to hit several of the farmer's markets throughout the week. I love stopping by in the morning and getting a muffin or croissant for breakfast and a loaf of good bread to have with salads a couple of nights. I also like the dried fruit/nut offerings from several of the vendors to have for an afternoon snack.
My favorite breads so far are from Crumble bakery (not to be confused with Crumbles). Her sourdoughs are wonderful.
Still trying to figure out who has my favorite breakfast nosh and my favorite dried fruits.
Who has a favorite that they can recommend to me?
I frequent the Green City market on Wednesdays. Tuesdays, I hit the one at Federal Plaza. Thursdays, I hit the one on Daley Plaza.

Hands down, spinach lamb pie -- sorry don't know the name of the bakery but they're at a number of the markets. Sold by the slice. A little pricey but a total treat!
I LOVE the mushroom burgers at Green City.
On Wed at GCM, Seasons Soda and Snooklefritz Ice Cream are set up next to each other and are doing ice cream floats, if you have a sweet tooth. They only do it Wed.
Also at GCM, the crepe stand is MUCH improved this year. Better quality batter and creative ingredient pairings. If they're still doing the BLT crepe, you have to try it.
