The Chainlink

I had the pleasure of biking home during the downpour. Was glad to have checked the forecast this morning. Waterprood panniers, rain pants and my regular cycling jacket kept me unstressed and dry; I was able to focus on the amazing lighting show. . . and dodging the enormous potholes and curb puddles.

Anyone else drenched but dry, or just drenched and drenched?

I was out last night walking the doggies in the rain at 10:00 pm. Had on my Gore-tex pants, jacket, and boots alon with a pair of gloves. I was dry except for my face that kept getting wet. The wind was a cold northwest at 25. Ran the doggies for almost 2 1/2 hours. The Rottweiler I had to put on his sweater along with the pitbull's sweater. Got home and gave the dogs a bath in the neighbors basement since they were so soaked and dirty. They cleaned up nicely but have to do the same thing again tonight. Mud all over the stairs too! Looked like spring mountain biking.
Hey.
Don't be thinking of buying that niterider trinewt light.
They claim waterproof. It isn't.
It shorted out at the most unperfectest time while riding fast down the jubbily part of North in traffic last night in that downpour.
All the connectors were in right and tight.
I now have a very expensive, traitorous, brick to ship back to them.
